Platå

When the two founders of the Norwegian design company, Anderssen & Voll, Torbjørn and Espen, were on a trip to Massachusetts for a workshop they got inspired by old wooden objects: wooden clothes hangers, tools with turned wooden handles and classic shoe blockers. This is a whole genre of objects that for decades has been overshadowed by other items. Let's call them the servants of objects. What is remarkable about these types of objects is how elaborate they are in their design, just as well made as objects on display. A design idea was born. How about creating a plateau which, with its asymmetrical shape, is outside the streamlined and elevated beauty, but which precisely because of this shines so much more beautifully, strongly and clearly.
